Shu Ju Wang: Relay-Replay
Shu-Ju Wang wanted to find a way to connect with her American mother who suffers from memory loss. As a painter and book artist, she came up with the idea to make art prints with her mother and create a book that connected images and people from the past to the present. Shu-Ju then connected with four other elders to create an artist book of memories for each inividual.

Nanette Davis: Weaves Her Way to a Creative Life
Nanette Davis weaves together hand dyed silk fabric with aluminum foil and acetate or screening to create her unique sculptural baskets and wall hangings. Her journey and her process have been full of experimentation and surprises.

Brenda Boylan: Water is Her Muse
Brenda Boylan's pastels are the result of having to overcome a childhood home that was unsettling and chaotic. Her desire for security, stability and sense resulted in establishing a life of creativity. Eventually water became her muse. Brenda says of water " it suspends us, calms us, and soothes us."

Jan vonBergen: A Life of Inspiration
Jan’s interest in art started in her childhood at the family dinner table where ethnic dishes were served up with side discussions of the culture, textiles and art from around the world. She remembers delicious curry dishes, her mother’s beautiful sari, and a home filled with exotic smells, artifacts and furniture. These early influences are the building blocks for her kimono inspired prints and organic ceramic vessels.

Joni Mitchell: The Art of Stone
I have always been an observer of not only the physical world but also of emotional and spiritual elements. I find it satisfying and meaningful to work through life’s deeper issues in a tactile way. I have chosen to sculpt in stone because I enjoy the synergy of expression it conveys. I have a deep respect for the history of the material and an appreciation for the aspects that it contributes to my work.
